Toronto has many resources for speakers of Ukrainian who are interested in keeping in touch with their Ukrainian roots. Toronto also has become home to many Cultural Groups and Genealogical Societies for individuals who want to connect with other people with similar pasts, these include the Toronto branch of the Ontario Genealogical society and also the Toronto Ukrainian Geneology group. The Ontario Center can help you to find out more about your ancestors by providing a service which translates Ukrainian inscriptions on graves into English to give you more of an insight into and your heritage. There is also a Ukrainian cultural centre in Toronto which provides further services as well as having its own library.For those looking for books written in Ukrainian and/or about Ukraine there are many libraries in Toronto that have books written in Ukrainian. This list includes The North York central Library, The Metropolitan Reference Library, and The University Libraries of York University and the University of Toronto. Metropolitan Reference Library has an extremely extensive History collection, and the North York Library has a entire section called 'The Canadian Department' which has a collection of documents dealing with immigrants to Canadian ports from 1870 to 1935, many of whom were immigrants from Ukraine.
